After the thaw

This Friday, I can actually tolerate going up to the house to take some pictures, look around and talk to Tony about the progress of the build. Today it was a balmy 55 degress (or so) when I took these pictures. Now, if it would stay that way for a bit, I would like it. Bill Meck (WLEX meterologist) says maybe another week of this comfortable weather and then back to the deep freeze for central KY!

roofers -- the mound of dirt will disappear when yard is graded

this is what the retaining wall looks like without the green tarp covering it. eventually there will be a covered deck out the door where i am taking the picture and below it will be a porch area where the gravel is now.

great room beginning to take shape. the door to the covered deck is to the right of this picture.

entrance into the dining room off of the breakfast area

looking into the breakfast area and in further is kitchen. to the right is dining area. behind me is the great room.

left opening is to dining room, opening in center of pic foreground is basement door and opening covered by Tyvek is the front door.
